PARIS DESIGN WEEK WILL SHOWCASE JENNY WU'S LACE

By Mick Jacobs

Architect and designer Jenny Wu will feature her LACE jewelry collection at the fifth annual Paris Design Week this September.

Created through 3-D printing, LACE jewelry follows a geometric construction, an overlapping of loops and ridges in complex patterns and designs. The results are skeletal collars, rings and earrings which appear both modern and natural, resembling a spider's web or a crystal formation. Recently, Wu announced metal versions of LACE designs would be available, in addition to the standard synthetic nylon.

"The new steel collection is especially exciting for us since it is the first time our collection will be 3D-printed directly using fused steel through a binder-based 3D-printing technologies," said Wu.

Paris Design week runs from September 5th through the 12th, alongside Maison & Object Paris.
