This October, Elena Manferdini’s Building Portraits leaps from the canvas to the corporeal. Titled Ink On Mirror, the showcase bestows dimension onto Manferdini’s architectural prints from January of this year, literally transforming them into reflective, three-dimensional models. In the same way, Building Portraits breathes life into architecture, Ink confers fresh perspective upon the physical edifice itself. The transition from smooth surface to complex structure explores shape versus form, ground versus figure, and orientation versus posture.
Ink on Mirror will run from October 6th until December, 2016 at Industry Gallery’s Pacific Design Center location.
